Mobile Muezzin calculate the prayer hours using complex astronomical formulas. The daily prayer time are determinated by:

• The morning's dawn or twilight starts - Fajr,
• The sun rises - Shuruq,
• The trailing limb of the sun has passed the meridian - Zuhr,
• The shadow cast by an object equals a certain a length - Asr,
• The sun sets - Maghrib,
• The evening's dusk or twilight disappears - Isha,
  

Prayer times exact definition depends on the religious organisation. Precisely, the angle between the horizon, the twilights and the observant position, used to determine the Fajr and the Isha prayer times, is not the same from a religious organisation to another.For example, the Fajr angle is equal to 18 degrees for UISK, 15 degrees for ISNA, 19 degrees for UQM and 19.5 degrees for EOG ! Mobile Muezzin takes all these parameters into account when calculating the prayer times!

Secondly, prayer times depends on the juritic method you belong to. For the "Asr" prayer that begins:

• when the length of the shadow of an object equals the length of the object,according to the Shafi school
• when the length of the shadow exceeds twice the length of the object., according to the Hanafi school
